Frequently asked questions
What is structural drying?
Structural drying removes moisture trapped inside walls, floors and ceilings after a leak or flood, using dehumidifiers and air movers, so repairs last and mould does not take hold.
How much does structural drying cost?
Drying equipment is hired by the week, with a one week minimum. We recommend one commercial dehumidifier and air mover per affected room, delivered, installed and collected by us, with a weekly monitoring visit. We take moisture readings on every visit so you can see the property drying, and we confirm the price on a written quote once we understand the problem.
How long does structural drying take?
It depends on how much moisture is present and which materials are affected. We assess the property and provide a drying plan with an expected timescale.
Do I need structural drying after a leak or flood?
If moisture has soaked into the building fabric, yes. Painting or repairing over damp materials traps the moisture and invites mould back, so drying first matters.
